Garages are often overlooked by party throwers. What they don’t realize is that their garage is one of the most spacious rooms in their homes and is just, perfect for a party.

Here are a few reasons why your garage is the ideal room for your social gathering…

• If you or one of your guests spills a drink, you won’t have to worry about staining your favorite furniture and the cleaning process will be a piece of cake. (probably literally)
• You can easily adjust the temperatures by lifting or shutting your garage door. If it’s too warm, you can let fresh air and daylight in, and if it’s too cold, you can shut your door and know your guests will be warm enough.
• Your garage is easy to decorate and there are also endless possibilities of ways to arrange chairs and tables.

When transforming your garage into a celebration room, you must make sure there is enough space for your guests to move around freely. In order to use the most of the space, you’ll have to clean out your garage, get rid of anything that is no longer in use, broken, or that is taking too much of the area. Once you’ve cleared most of the items out, you’ll want to bring in your tables and chairs and start decorating! How to change your garage into a great party room:

• Remove and store someplace else all items that are taking up to much room, such as boxes, tools, and vehicles.

• Gather up all your chairs and tables and organize them in a way you like and in a way that is appropriate for the party you’re throwing. If you want a dance floor, you’ll want to make sure you leave enough space by putting the tables closer together. Make sure your guests can access the entrance door and can move around freely.

• Find a nice long table and put it along the side of your garage. Designate this area to the beverage bar or food bar. Be creative with your arrangements! There are endless possibilities!

• For music lovers and boogie dancers, you’ll want a speaker. A speaker that is loud enough to hear the music, but not too loud that people can’t hear each other speak. Small ipod speakers are the best for small parties in smaller spaces.

• Give the decoration your party deserves! Hang up string lights, banners, balloons, and anything that you’d like! You want the room to look unrecognizable!
